How the hell did I get so old? and how the hell did this happen? my skin, my bones full of creases and groans, I always knew this would happen look in the mountain stream... and what do you find biological slime and how it swarms and it multiplys breathe it inside and then you die and now your something to find O what do you find biological slime and how it swarms and it multiplys breathe in a sigh and then you die and now your something to find Well an old lady, she told me maybe I would grow up and if I made it, that far jaded, I'd never get love If I looked in the West coast in the east coast in the midwest if I looked in antartica or the north pole or the south pole what would I vest? cause I'm a creepster freakster I don't need you neither I'm a creepster freakster I don't need you neither I'm a creepster freakster I don't need you neither I'm a creepster freakster I don't need you and you don't need me I don't need you and you dont want me and I dont need you and you don't want me anyway...

Opera no. 13 (free) 04:41
And do you remember oh there in Florida when that strange feeling came over me? and well you know, I felt nothing for ya but oh my god is that envy? O for the old lady, lying in her bed, and well maybe she is definitly dead and I don't wana stay, I just wana come back but I guess I've gotta stay put just to earn my ticket and o do you remember the space opera? and o do you remember the space opera? yeah cause I sure dont yeah and I sure dont They're gonna wrap me in a suit and then I'll go and take the underground route before you know and would you belive- o what they told me to bring and how they taught me to recieve and o would you belive in the number 13 put me on the shelf far away from 1 after 12 and oh my morine you know I belive you cursed me but man she could sing... just like the number 13... So many wings in the skies! the skies! Petrified Passerbys Paralyzed Lost in you eyes! I am not- I am not- Suprised! Suprised! I am not- I am not- Suprised! Suprised! I wish I had control

Well your spinning and you're laughing and you're laughing and you're spinning the white widow is winning and no you're not fat you're furthest from it so just finish all of that oh and I like you I like you you can be my muse cause I like you And you wrote: "if you love something then just give it away" but I don't, really love ya I just kind of like you enough to try and get you to stay And then on the phone is he calling you home? well you'd better get runnin to him well you disapear and then show up here with my brand new label as you're friend is that something that you had to do so you dont feel so much like a prostitute? well you you hate yourself you've told me a million times who the hell is this guy? just someone who treats you like shit and pays your rent Well I hate you yeah I hate you you can be my muse cause I hate you well you're spinning and you're laughing somewhere in New Jersey And I'm on some floor in Ohio Your yelling at some guy you've had to much to drink and I'll drunkenly scream at some girl too but hey what's new? I wish she was you... I miss you... you can be my muse...

Jesus Speak 02:24
Jesus Jesus is the answer Jesus Jesus like a cancer

Razor Blades 03:17
An embittered realist reeling former pacifist healing cause we're all just facists in our deep dark hearts! You say o me o my when the lover you love says just don't try cause you know you wont get to far! So you go out lookin for answers and you embark on your little treck from the gates of mars to heck to a mountain stream but o what do you find? the earth heats up and then rewinds so you can see the ghost of water but they just call it steam How can I explain- the wonder in my name- and o the secrets that hide in yours too! So much beauty in the skies when you look up don't wonder why belive theirs more than black behind the blue! and when you wake up, I'll be waiting for you
7.
And o your mother how she kisses the brim of a glass so big it's where fish could swim and how you wonder if she cares anymore or if she could love him like she did before in the picture on the mantle illuminated by a candle phony smiles start to fade as the wick it burns away And o your father how his lifes so impossible he went to fight for a dinosoar fossile that you could put in your car and make it go so far away from your mother with the glass and your brother how he kicked your ass when you- tried to leave cause no one get's out in one piece And then one night before I cleaned out a bank you called me on the phone and you told me you loved me I once said "I love you" as a kid to a girl with the same hair and skin of me but you look differen't you look itallian you look just like the girl version of my best friend the one whose razor blades but still ace of spades in the end in the end and then now you're my best friend my best friend and then and then so you write letters and you write songs and you write poetry and you right wrongs but you left out the part with our corpses in the road and our bodies are the same just in a different place and the corpses are the corpses of our souls so you write letters and you right wrongs and you write poetry and you write songs but you left out the part with our corpses in the road and our bodies are the same just in a different place and the corpses are the corpses of our souls Well I'm just thinkin then I'm just singin about monkeys in spaceships! Intelligent enough to push a button and brave enough to die! O I'm just thinkin then I'm just singin about monkeys in spaceships! Intelligent enough to push a button and brave enough to die! And then theirs me me as I'll ever be. Well take your pills and wash em' down with a drink. I am more of a whore than you think. Existence is weird and sex makes everything strange. If you wana know more, turn the page. Or go to sleep. Just go to sleep- and when you arise... sink deep, into your own reality you know in mine, you're a queen.

She's the amazing beautiful girl too bad she's two thousand years behind She's the amazing beautiful girl too bad she's two thousand years behind Should I listen to my heart or should I listen to the man? Oh who'm I kidding I'm no lover I'm no poet. She wants to rule the world I can see it in her eyes All languantly hidden, behind her disguise And all this illness just makes me sick O how fame is loves cheap gimmick first you mountain breeze and then you mountain freeze and then you find out just what you need too bad she's two thousand years behind years behind too bad she's two thousand years behind years behind too bad she's two thousand years behind years behind too bad she's two thousand years behind years behind too bad she's two thousand years behind

And in times dark and stoic I will try and be melodic I will burn up all my insense I will drink all my tea who is this man sitting here? cause he's not me. And people that I don't want to think about telling me my midwest sound git instead of get I don't understand I can't comprehend And maybe I was made to die alone Well maybe I was made to die alone I hope I was to live with nothing I was made to live with nothing o o o o whoaooo ao o o o ah ah aha hah aha cause I've got nothing I've got nothing

My parents drink alot so I'll drink alot too. I saw a monster movie it reminded me of you- The way the little girl screamed reminded me of me and the way the monster tore her to shreds reminded me of the way we used to be. Stroke my fragile ego cause the world says that I'm not a notable- individual in the annexs of history Are you ever afraid that you might die and maybe that might not be the worst thing that could happen to your life? O preacher man could you sing me a song- about the freckles on my skin representing wrong and is all my sin - my poverty, just a reflection of the lords disaproval for me? Even though he said, he didn't have a place to rest his head and the mighty kingdom of Israel is dead. well world war one you had your fun- and world war well I'm in love with you- and world war three yeah well your something to see yeah you're something to see yeah you're something to see yeah Stroke my fragile ego cause the world says that I'm not a notable- individual in the annexs of history Are you ever afraid that you might die and maybe that might not be the worst thing that could happen to your life?

Flying Ghost 07:50
I wish the last song, could be the best song but I fear that it's not. The people who hear it, will hate it. Cause it's not what they want. Cause this is not about a girl- it's about me! Oh the irony... That's just what I said- when I was faking it. So father why'd you leave me? And mother why'd you stay? Answers to questions like that don't really matter to anyone else anyway. Oh I wish that I could write a song that I didn't mean! Or at least one without so much self fulfilling prophecy! Well you dont know who you are and I don't know me- so why did we ever feel safe using the word we? And I knew I loved you, when all I wanted to do was starve inside a car beside you. And I'm tired of this game and I don't want to win. I'd trade every song I ever wrote for a Jack or a Finn. Cause once we have the fame o we know ourselves, we'll just hate everything and want to be somebody else. We're only soul mates some of the time and maybe thats what works the most. It could have been a dream or a feeling or just a sick hope but in the beauty of a body in the mirror I swear I saw a flying ghost FLY GHOST EITHER WAY WE'LL ALL JUST BE DEFEATED EITHER WAY OUR BODIES WILL JUST DISSAPEAR _---==---______

about

"Having listened to Richard Ringer's last four albums and gained slivers of insight into where he was a mere seven years ago—a kid whom few likely understood due to force of his creativity and weird energy…and his inevitable flight from the repressive rural Midwest into the vibrant-but-cruel underground of New York’s music scene…the album is appropriately named."
